Behind the Service: How Clever Devices Supports Transit Agencies Every Day

At Clever Devices, service is a core part of how we deliver value to our customers. During National Customer Service Week earlier this month, we highlighted the teams that make this possible via LinkedIn. These teams are made up of dedicated experts who ensure our technology performs in the real world, build lasting relationships with transit agencies, and respond when it matters most.  

As John King, Vice President of Service and Support, puts it, “Customer service is the foundation of our relationship with our clients. It’s where trust is built, and where our commitment to partnership is proven every day.”  

Our Service and Support organization comprises several specialized teams, each playing a distinct role in supporting public transit systems across North America. Together, they form a coordinated, customer-focused operation that helps agencies deliver reliable service to their riders.

Technical Assistance Center (TAC) 

The TAC team provides 24/7 support, responding to everything from product questions to critical system issues. Their work is fast-paced and highly collaborative, ensuring that customers receive timely, informed assistance. This year, the team marked one year on the CleverCare365 platform, a milestone that reflects their commitment to continuous improvement and scalable support. 

Customer Success Management (CSM) 

Our Customer Success Managers serve as strategic partners to transit agencies, helping them maximize the value of Clever Devices’ solutions. Through regular engagement and deep understanding of each agency’s goals, the CSM team ensures that customer feedback informs product development and service delivery. Their recent in-person summit reinforced the team’s shared commitment to collaboration, growth, and long-term success. 

Field Service 

The Field Service team is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and upgrading the onboard systems that power public transit. Their work spans regions and time zones, often under tight deadlines and in complex environments. Whether it’s a large-scale hardware rollout or a time-sensitive repair, this team ensures that Clever Devices’ technology performs reliably in the field.
