This project, developed with CMTU, Londrisul, and TCGL, unifies service planning, real-time monitoring, and dynamic passenger communication, delivering a smarter, more predictable travel experience for residents through advanced technology and real-time visibility.

CHALLENGE

Before the ITS deployment, Londrina’s public transportation system struggled with fragmented operations, manual planning, and limited tools for managing service reliability. With two bus operators and a growing urban population, the need for an integrated control and planning solution was urgent. Real-time responsiveness, accurate passenger information, and centralized data visibility were key to overcoming these challenges.

• Operational Intelligence Center (Ciop): Centralized control room with a live-data videowall for proactive decision-making.
• MAIOR Suite: Planning and scheduling tools for optimized routes, crew shifts, and service reliability. Includes real-time control and scenario simulation for rapid response and adaptability.

The combination of CAD/AVL and real-time monitoring has  allowed CMTU, Londrisul, and TCGL to proactively manage services. By detecting early arrivals, delays, and disruptions, the agencies can act quickly and maintain a high level of service reliability city-wide.

Passengers now have access to accurate arrival times and next-stop announcements through the BusTime® system, as well as trip planning tools and free Wi-Fi. These features not only enhance convenience but also elevate passenger trust in public transport.

Using MAIOR’s intelligent scheduling and performance monitoring capabilities, Londrina’s agencies can simulate scenarios, optimize timetables, and adapt operations dynamically.
